The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach read more Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider issue produced for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
